Y Don’t U Dance Team Triumphs at Move It 2025 in London

The Y don’t U dance team excelled at the Move It 2025 convention in London, winning multiple first places and a Judges’ Choice Award for Faith Abela, with choreography by Marianna Micallef. Supported by Visit Malta, the team showcased their talent in a competitive setting.

In early March, the Y don’t U dance team competed at the Move It 2025 convention held at the Excel Exhibition Centre in London, taking part in the Starpower International Competition. This event featured exhilarating dance masterclasses, exhibits, and a hands-on opportunity where two team members led an Acro session with Acrotrix, a notable acrobatics school in London.

The Y don’t U team achieved remarkable success, securing first place in several categories: ‘Musical Theatre Trio’ (Ria Gauci, Clarice Bugeja, Faith Abela), ‘Open Duo’ (Faith Abela, Zoe Scerri), and ‘Hip Hop Solo’ (Faith Abela), all due to the choreography of Marianna Micallef. Every performance was recognised in the ‘High Score Champions’ category, highlighting the dancers’ talent and dedication. Faith Abela also received a Judges’ Choice Award.

The competition was made possible through support from Visit Malta, which helped facilitate the team’s participation in this prestigious event.
