The Retail Technology Show (RTS) held at London ExCeL on 2–3 April concluded with record attendance, attracting over 14,000 retail professionals, an 11% increase from last year, solidifying it as the largest RTS to date. A total of 438 exhibitors showcased advanced solutions, prompting high engagement from senior professionals and decision-makers.

Exhibitors presented a wide range of technologies including AI analytics, automation tools, and sustainable solutions aimed at reducing environmental impact. The event highlighted sustainability as a key theme, featuring energy-efficient hardware and waste-reduction systems.

Engagement opportunities flourished, aiding direct interactions with retailers and solution providers. Attendees voiced challenges and explored potential collaborations, making the RTS an essential platform for innovation. Penny Grivea noted RTS helps retailers stay “relevant,” while Maria Hollins highlighted its practical takeaways for attendees.

The conference programme featured over 125 speakers, including industry leaders such as M&S Chairman Archie Norman and entrepreneur Theo Paphitis, who praised RTS as a unifying platform. Prerana Issar underscored the merging of retail and technology, reflecting modern industry realities.

The event was notably lively, integrating fun elements like rides and carnival attractions, culminating in the Retail’s BIG Party. The Retail Technology Innovation Award was awarded to Profitmind for its AI-powered profit engine, praised for its competitive tracking abilities.

A tribute performance to Queen entertained attendees, surpassing previous year’s acts. Alex Gourlay remarked on RTS’s essence being about people and relationships, while 89% of exhibitors rebooked for next year. Plans for RTS 2026 are already in motion, set for 22–23 April 2026.
