This life-sized piece displays two femme figures positioned back-to-back on wooden panels, reflecting the resilience of Boafo’s subjects.

At the core of the exhibition is a recreation of the courtyard from Boafo’s childhood home, made in collaboration with designer Glenn DeRoche. This structure embodies personal narratives and collaborative creativity, emphasising community and artistic sharing. “I Do Not Come to You by Chance” will be open until May 24 at Gagosian London.
