In conjunction with the EP launch, NewDad will perform an intimate show at The Dome in London on May 14. Tickets will go on sale on April 16 at 5 pm, and fans can sign up for ticket access. The band has had a busy 2024 following the acclaim received for ‘Madra’, which was featured in NME’s Top 100 Albums of the Year.

After their album artwork gained significant attention in China, NewDad participated in major events like Glastonbury and All Points East. Although they were scheduled to appear at SXSW, they withdrew due to concerns regarding sponsors associated with the festival. At Glastonbury, former bassist Cara Joshi shared her excitement about touring with 5SOS’s Luke Hemmings, describing it as a fun experience, while vocalist Julie Dawson appreciated the enthusiastic response from fans during their performances. Dawson has also ventured into solo work, exploring a pop-oriented direction while maintaining the signature NewDad sound.

NewDad’s forthcoming EP ‘Safe’ signifies their commitment to musical growth, embracing influences from prominent bands. Their intimate London show adds to their exciting 2024 roster, despite setbacks at SXSW. The band continues to engage and attract fans through their live performances, highlighting their increasing popularity and artistic evolution.
