NewDad, the Irish indie rock band, has announced an upcoming EP titled “Safe,” set for release on May 2. This will be their first new extended release since the well-received debut album “MADRA,” which dropped in January 2024. The band has spent the past year touring extensively and has several notable festival appearances lined up for 2025. Their most recent single, “Under My Skin,” was released in September 2024.

In an exciting move for their fans, NewDad will debut tracks from the “Safe” EP during a special performance at The Dome in London on May 14. Tickets for the show are available starting at 5 p.m. local time and can be found on their official site.

“This group of songs were born in London,” the band mentioned in a newsletter. They elaborated on the themes, discussing the challenges of retaining one’s identity in such a demanding city and industry. “We hold these songs very close to our hearts and hope ye love them as much as we do.”

The “Safe” EP will comprise four new tracks: “Entertainer,” “Safe,” “Puzzle,” and “Be Kind.” A thousand limited edition vinyl copies will also be pressed, with the option to pre-order or pre-save available on their website.

Earlier in March, the band posted on Instagram announcing the departure of bassist Cara Joshi, which has raised questions among fans about the band’s future lineup.
