Victoria has recently announced the eagerly awaited line-up for the upcoming Melbourne Food & Wine Festival in 2024, scheduled to occur from Friday, March 15 to Sunday, March 24. The festival will showcase a variety of esteemed chefs and culinary events guaranteed to excite the palates of food connoisseurs from all around.
At the forefront of this event is the esteemed Andrew McConnell, the mastermind behind some of Melbourne’s most renowned dining establishments such as Gimlet and Cutler & Co. McConnell will be curating an exquisite menu for the festival’s highly-anticipated opening-night event, the World’s Longest Lunch. Tickets for this exclusive dining experience will commence at $295.
Following this illustrious affair is the World’s Longest Brunch, where a delectable menu will be created by a trio of skilled Indian chefs: Harry Mangat of Biji Dining, Helly Raichura of Enter via Laundry, and Mischa Tropp of Toddy Shop. These captivating events will be held in Kings Domain, offering guests an unparalleled and unforgettable dining experience.
The festival will also take place at Fed Square for a weekend filled with culinary delights, including the highly-anticipated Celebrity Sausage event, where local talent will present their interpretation of the perfect sausage. Furthermore, the Baker’s Dozen bake sale will highlight 13 exceptional bakeries, including Kudo and Holy Sugar.
Staying true to its prestige, the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival will maintain its tradition of hosting esteemed international culinary talents who will collaborate with local chefs to provide exclusive and unparalleled gastronomic experiences. This year, the festival will welcome culinary luminaries such as Garima Arora from Gaa in Bangkok, Sarah Cicolini from Santo Palato in Rome, and Kanji Kobayashi from Villa Aida in Japan. Distinguished individuals such as Dan Keeling, Mark Andrew, and renowned chef Stephen Harris of London’s Noble Rot will also join forces with Marion to present a unique “board of wine treasures”.
