Breeda Hurley, Miriam Moriarty Owens, and Áine O’Callaghan are preparing to perform at Tralee’s Siamsa Tíre for a post-Christmas extravaganza on Saturday, 6th January. These three individuals, renowned for their entertaining antics on ‘Johnny’s Cottage’, are set to bring their online show to life in an evening filled with music, dance, and surprises.
For those unfamiliar with ‘Johnny’s Cottage’, it is the brainchild of sisters Breeda and Miriam, who initially went live on Facebook to share their apple tart baking skills with friends. The addition of their sister Áine heightened the entertainment value, and the show now attracts over 30,000 weekly fans, with some videos going viral.
Their willingness to be carefree and daring, whether it’s swimming in a children’s pool or emulating popular TV shows, has endeared them to their followers. And now, they are ready to bring their antics to the stage, promising an unforgettable evening full of laughter and surprises.
Miriam expressed their excitement, “The three of us epitomize what it means to live life to the fullest and not to be concerned about any negative judgment. We have recently completed our first cookbook with a twist, and now we are thrilled to bring a night of good fun to Siamsa Tíre. We can’t wait, and it is wonderful to do this on the night of Women’s Little Christmas. Anything could happen on stage!”
Adding to the excitement, Breeda stated, “We are not afraid to let our hair down and can do anything, including swimming in a kid’s pool, falling into the bath, and mimicking TV shows such as the Rose of Tralee and the Apprentice. The stage show will be no different, with many special guests on the night and some of our best moments.”
And Áine added, “You better watch out, especially Miriam.”
The tickets for ‘Johnny’s Cottage, A Hooley in the Kitchen’ can be obtained from the Siamsa Tíre box office by calling 066 712 3055 or online at siamsatire.com. The show is scheduled to commence at 8pm on Saturday, 6th January, 2024.
