Investing in the Future of Agriculture: CNH Industrial Partners with Catholic University for Technical Education

CNH Industrial has recently announced a partnership with the Catholic University of Cordoba (UCC) in Argentina, with the aim of providing educational opportunities for the country’s future farmers. This collaboration underscores CNH’s dedication to advancing the educational and social development of upcoming agricultural professionals.

In Argentina, Technical Education Day is celebrated on November 15, to commemorate the establishment of the National Council of Technical Education (CONET) in 1959. Under the governance of the National Institute of Technological Education (INET), various schools across the country offer teaching in technological and scientific specialties.

This joint effort between CNH and UCC will facilitate professional internships for Agronomic Engineering training at UCC, allowing more than 100 students annually to gain practical experience with Case IH and New Holland products. Moreover, they will receive training with cutting-edge tools such as Oculus, augmented reality headsets, and the metaverse, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary for the digitalization and technification of agriculture.

The collaboration has been met with optimism, particularly among students interested in enhancing their practical knowledge of agricultural machinery. UCC’s Agronomic Engineering program is already planning to integrate precision agriculture into its curriculum by 2024, aligning with CNH’s digitalization initiatives in the ever-evolving agricultural industry.

Federico Arroyo, the Coordinator of Technical Training Argentina & LAI at CNH, has expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting its potential impact on driving innovation and technology in the global agricultural industry.

As a leading equipment and services company, CNH Industrial operates with a focus on Innovation, Sustainability, and Productivity. Through its global and regional Brands, the company offers a wide range of agriculture applications, digital technologies, and construction products, contributing to customer efficiency and success.

With a history spanning over two centuries, CNH Industrial continues to innovate and drive progress across its sectors. The company’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity is reflected in its global workforce of over 40,000 employees, all working towards empowering customers for a better world.
