Empowering Young Entrepreneurs: Apostolic Faith Church Awards N2.25m Grants to Business Pitch Winners

The Apostolic Faith Church has recently disclosed that it has granted a total of N2.25m to three successful young entrepreneurs who emerged victorious in the 2023 business pitch competition. The grants were presented by Isaac Adigun, the District Superintendent of the church in West and Central Africa, during the concluding event of the 2023 annual International Youth Camp, known as “Ebenezer Night,” which took place in Ogun State.

According to reliable sources, the church’s youth division had invited young entrepreneurs to submit business pitches with the aim of securing grants to enhance their businesses. As a result, six finalists were shortlisted for the competition, one of whom was Uche Udekwe, a recipient of the Future Africa Award. The church revealed that the second runner-up received a grant of N500,000, while the first runner-up, Uche Udekwe, was awarded N750,000. Furthermore, the overall winner of the business pitch, Eunice Adewale, received a substantial grant of N1m.

An official statement posted on the Church’s Facebook page disclosed that over 100 individuals initially entered the competition with aspirations of winning the 2023 business pitch. This indicates the high level of interest and participation in the initiative.

Notably, in the previous year, the church also demonstrated support for entrepreneurs by granting a total of N2.6m to seven business owners. This consistent dedication to nurturing and empowering young entrepreneurs is praiseworthy, as it provides them with opportunities to foster the growth of their enterprises.

The initiative by the Apostolic Faith Church serves as an encouragement to young entrepreneurs, signifying that their creativity and hard work are recognized. By offering financial assistance to these individuals, the church plays a crucial role in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, which are imperative for economic growth and development.

It is gratifying to witness organizations such as the Apostolic Faith Church investing in the younger generation by providing the necessary resources to help them succeed in their entrepreneurial endeavors. This does not only benefit the grant recipients, but also contributes to the overall prosperity of the community.

In conclusion, the grants bestowed upon the young entrepreneurs by the Apostolic Faith Church underscore the significance of supporting and nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship. It is through such initiatives that we can pave the way for a brighter future, not only for the recipients but for the society as a whole. This is indeed a commendable effort by the church to uplift and empower the next generation of business leaders.
