Oxford Technology Park is preparing to welcome a new tenant to the Innovation Quarter, as Life Science REIT has announced the leasing of 5,551 square feet of space. The fortunate new tenant is Quantum Advanced Solutions Limited, a company that specializes in the development and manufacturing of quantum dot sensors and materials.
According to the terms of the agreement, Quantum Solutions will pay an annual rent of £0.12m, which equates to approximately £22 per square foot, for a period of ten years. The lease also contains a break clause and a rent review after the fifth year, providing flexibility for all parties involved.
Established in 2017, Quantum Solutions has experienced rapid growth. The choice to establish a presence at Oxford Technology Park was driven by the company’s desire to be closer to both existing and potential clients, including prominent names such as Merck KGaA, Panasonic Corporation, Nordson, Sony, Imec, and the University of Oxford.
Marat Lutfullin, the CEO of Quantum Advanced Solutions, expressed his enthusiasm about the move, stating, “This marks a pivotal moment for Quantum Solutions, as we embark on a significant expansion of our R&D and manufacturing efforts to bring our sensor and materials products to an increasingly global customer base. The modern facilities at OTP, along with their adaptable fit-out capabilities, provide an ideal setting for the establishment of our unique and innovative operations. We are honoured to be in close proximity to Oxford University and its vibrant ecosystem.”
In another significant business development, Hercules Site Services has secured contracts worth an impressive £5.75m in the fourth quarter of 2023. It has been a busy and successful period for the company, with a multitude of new projects and partnerships contributing to its growth and prosperity.
The developments at Oxford Technology Park and the success of Hercules Site Services are indicative of the vibrant business climate and the potential for growth and expansion in various sectors. As businesses continue to thrive and pursue exciting new opportunities, the future appears promising for the local economy and the broader business community.
