In an endeavour to enhance the entrepreneurial spirit in Saudi Arabia, GoDaddy has introduced two educational courses in collaboration with Monsha’at Academy. These courses have been specifically crafted to provide emerging entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge required to establish and expand their online businesses in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

The curriculum of the courses encompasses comprehensive modules such as “Commence your business online and create a website” and “Commence Selling online and eCommerce.” These courses are being offered free of charge, aligning with GoDaddy’s commitment to empowering entrepreneurs on a global scale. They cover crucial topics related to building a robust online presence and operating a successful e-commerce platform, spanning from the basics of online presence and website development to advanced strategies for e-commerce and customer engagement.

Selina Bieber, Vice President of International Markets at GoDaddy, has commended the success of these courses and their significant role in the development of entrepreneurs. She underscored the effectiveness of the courses in delivering essential digital skills, which are vital for navigating today’s dynamic market landscape. This initiative by GoDaddy underscores the company’s dedication to fostering growth and adaptability among small and medium-sized enterprises, consistently supporting their online journey towards innovation and success.

The “Commence your business online and create a website” course is accessible online through Monshaat Academy’s e-learning Library, offering a comprehensive and flexible learning experience. It delivers a detailed understanding of establishing an online presence, including the practical application of GoDaddy’s website builder in Arabic. Students have the flexibility to progress at their own pace, with the option to pause and resume the course as required. The course is structured into five lessons, each followed by unit exams, which can be attempted up to three times for mastery. The final exam ensures a thorough grasp of the essential skills for effective website planning, design, and engagement.

Conversely, the “Commence Selling online and eCommerce” course aims to assist entrepreneurs in navigating the world of e-commerce, encompassing various aspects of online selling, such as understanding e-commerce business models, creating an e-store with GoDaddy, and exploring e-commerce customer service. This course offering is particularly timely, given the emphasis on the rising trend of e-commerce in the region, as highlighted in the Monshaat Q1 2023 report, which indicated a notable increase in online business registrations.

These courses are part of GoDaddy’s broader mission to support the digital transformation goals of Saudi Arabia’s ‘2030 Vision’, contributing to the development of a digitally savvy entrepreneurial community. With SMEs constituting 99.5% of the total businesses in the Kingdom, the impact of these educational initiatives is substantial, paving the way for a new generation of skilled and knowledgeable entrepreneurs who are well-equipped to thrive in the digital age.
