Havas India has recently introduced its most recent endeavor aimed at supporting women in the business sphere. The initiative, named EmpowHers, is an incubation program carefully crafted to offer mentorship and guidance to women entrepreneurs. This collaborative effort is a partnership between Havas India and Her Entrepreneurial Network (H.E.N), a community dedicated to empowering women in the business sector.
The inaugural 6-month program has garnered considerable interest, with 22 mentees and 11 mentors involved. These mentors are distinguished leaders from various agencies within the Havas India network. The primary objective of the program is to equip these aspiring entrepreneurs with the essential skills and support to excel in marketing, branding, and business development.
A fundamental aspect of the EmpowHers program is to align with Havas’ fundamental values, which include the promotion of women leaders, nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit, and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the business arena. The program also aims to make a substantial impact on the broader community.
Havas India proactively engaged members of H.E.N in the program by inviting them to delineate their business challenges. These challenges were then meticulously analysed and paired with the expertise of Havas India and its network of agencies. This collaborative approach ensures that the mentees receive personalized support to address their specific business requirements.
The 22 businesses participating in EmpowHers span a wide array of sectors, including retail, health and wellness, food and beverage, advisory services, fashion, and lifestyle. Each business boasts a distinctive and inspiring narrative behind its inception, reflecting the tenacity and determination of these women entrepreneurs.
The agency has spotlighted some remarkable participants, including Dr. Sarah, the 63-year-old founder of Eevolve, a holistic healing centre, and Shikha, the founder of Shikha’s Kitchen, which was launched during the Covid-19 pandemic to support her family. These diverse and compelling stories underscore the impressive breadth of talent within the first cohort of EmpowHers.
Vandana Tilwani, the CHRO of Havas India, underscored the agency’s commitment to nurturing initiatives from their inception, citing EmpowHers as a reflection of their dedication to fostering growth, innovation, and empowerment for women in business.
Priyanka Changia, Cofounder of Her Entrepreneurial Network, emphasized the collaborative nature of the partnership, highlighting the invaluable expertise that senior leaders from Havas India bring to the H.E.N members. The mentoring from industry stalwarts in marketing communication provides a wealth of knowledge and insight to the 23 H.E.N members participating in the program.
The EmpowHers program aims to provide meaningful solutions, guidance, and mentorship to aspiring women entrepreneurs, paving the way for their businesses to reach new heights. By leveraging the expertise within Havas India, the program also offers valuable insights into various sectors, presenting the network with opportunities to innovate and provide effective business solutions.
The esteemed mentors contributing to the program include senior leaders such as Mohit Joshi, CEO of Havas Media Network India, Sangeeta Barde, CEO of Havas Life Sorento & Regional Head of HHY Middle East, and Vandana Tilwani, Chief HR Officer of Havas India, among others.
The EmpowHers program holds the promise of making a substantial impact on the entrepreneurial journey of women, offering them the support and resources they need to thrive in the business world. With a diverse range of businesses and a wealth of industry experience, the program sets the stage for meaningful growth and empowerment for women entrepreneurs.
