Bayes Business School, formerly known as Cass, is delighted to announce the launch of the ‘Pitch it easy’ start-up competition in collaboration with Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the founder of easyJet. This remarkable opportunity will provide the recipient with a generous cash prize of £100,000 and the opportunity to collaborate with Sir Stelios and the easy family of brands to bring their business concept to fruition.
In order to be considered, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
– The company must be a UK or EU registered for-profit entity incorporated no later than 1st January 2019.
– The founder and/or CEO must be a current student or alumnus/a of a recognised university listed in the top 500 in the 2024 Global QS ranking.
– The company must have a UK or EU business bank account in its own name to receive the grant.
– The company must demonstrate annual revenues of at least £50,000 for two consecutive years.
– The business model must align with the easy family of brands and their core values.
The successful applicant will also be required to enter into a 10-year brand license agreement with the easy family of brands and adhere to specific financial obligations. The winner, personally selected by Sir Stelios, will be invited to present their business at an exclusive event in Monaco, with travel and accommodation provided by easyGroup.
The important dates for the competition are as follows:
– 19th February 2024: Opening of online applications
– 7th March 2024: Zoom launch event featuring Sir Stelios and Alexis Murat, the 2023 competition winner
– 29th March 2024: Application deadline
– 20th April 2024: Winner selection and brand license negotiation
– 17th-18th May 2024: Winner’s presentation in Monaco
