Bott & Co Joins Forces with CMC to Enhance Car Finance Mis-Selling Support

Bott & Co, a renowned consumer law firm, has announced a strategic partnership with claims management company Claimsline to bolster its efforts in handling cases of mis-selling of car finance. The collaboration aims to offer extensive support to individuals affected by mis-sold motor finance agreements, providing assistance from the initial claims process to any required litigation.

Following the recent announcement from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regarding the investigation of hidden and unfair car finance commission practices, a significant number of consumers are potentially impacted. In response to this, Bott & Co has heightened its focus on investigating and representing individuals affected by the mis-sold motor finance scandal since 2019.

The partnership with Claimsline seeks to streamline the claims process for affected individuals by providing end-to-end support, simplifying what can often be a complex and intimidating legal procedure.

According to Bott & Co solicitor Coby Benson, the firm is dedicated to amplifying its efforts in providing legal support to those affected by mis-sold motor finance agreements. Through leveraging the combined expertise of both organisations, the partnership with Claimsline aims to empower individuals and make justice accessible for those impacted by the scandal.

Andrew Franks, co-founder of Claimsline, emphasised the importance of customer advocacy and expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership with Bott & Co. He shared the alignment of their vision with Bott & Co’s commitment to empowering their customers and making justice accessible to millions across the country who are affected by the mis-sold motor finance scandal.

The developments in the car finance mis-selling landscape have also been highlighted by consumer website MoneySavingExpert.com, which has launched a guide and complaint tool to reclaim hidden car finance commissions. The founder of the site, Martin Lewis, emphasised the potential scale of the issue, estimating a conservative payout of £115 million, with the possibility of billions being paid out in the future.

The extent of the problem with mis-sold motor finance agreements has prompted various organisations to take action and provide support to affected individuals. Through the collaboration between Bott & Co and Claimsline, there is a concerted effort to deliver comprehensive legal assistance and streamline the claims process for those impacted.

As the FCA continues to assess the issue, the collaboration aims to ensure that individuals affected by mis-sold motor finance agreements receive the support and representation they need to address the injustice they have faced.
