The Emirates Entrepreneurship Association and Deliveroo Forge Partnership to Empower UAE SMEs

The Emirates Entrepreneurship Association (EEA) has recently announced its partnership with Deliveroo through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement aims to provide ongoing support to United Arab Emirates (UAE) entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), while also contributing to the overall economic development of the country. The signing ceremony, which marked the commencement of this strategic partnership, was held at Deliveroo’s headquarters in Dubai.

As part of this collaboration, Emirati Food & Beverage (F&B) companies in Abu Dhabi, who are members of EEA, will have the opportunity to join the Deliveroo platform and showcase their products. This significant move will enable these businesses to expand their market reach and gain direct access to Deliveroo’s customer base and logistical infrastructure. In addition, participating companies will have access to a wide array of benefits and incentives such as competitive pricing, onboarding assistance, training programs, quality assurance measures, and continuous support from dedicated account managers.

H.E Sanad Al Meqbali, Chairman of the Emirates Entrepreneurship Association, emphasized the critical role of SMEs in the UAE’s economy and highlighted the significance of the partnership with Deliveroo. He expressed his optimism about the partnership’s potential to significantly benefit SMEs, particularly those in the F&B sector, by providing them with the avenue to broaden their reach and tap into Deliveroo’s global expertise in ensuring service reliability and delivery efficiency.

Anis Harb, General Manager at Deliveroo Middle East, expressed his honour in collaborating with the Emirates Entrepreneurship Association and providing its members in Abu Dhabi the opportunity to enhance their presence by joining Deliveroo. He also emphasized that the collaboration enhances the value proposition for customers by offering them a diverse selection of restaurants. Through this partnership, Deliveroo aims to leverage its platform, which connects millions of users, to provide tailored advantages, incentives, competitive prices, quality assurance, and ongoing support.

This significant collaboration is aligned with EEA’s mission to create supportive partnerships for Emirati entrepreneurs, thereby granting SMEs access to the best global practices to enhance the national entrepreneurship landscape. As EEA continues to strengthen its efforts in building a conducive environment for local entrepreneurs, this partnership with Deliveroo is a testament to its commitment to empowering the UAE’s SME sector, fostering growth, and driving economic development.

In conclusion, the collaboration between the Emirates Entrepreneurship Association and Deliveroo holds great promise for UAE entrepreneurs and SMEs, particularly those in the F&B sector. By extending their market reach and leveraging Deliveroo’s global expertise, these businesses are poised to thrive and contribute to the country’s economic landscape. This partnership serves as a model for fostering sustainable entrepreneurship and driving impactful growth within the UAE’s SME community.
