Babson Academy Broadens Its Reach to New Global Regions in 2023

The Babson Academy for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurial Learning has extended its entrepreneurship education initiatives to encompass new regions in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in 2023. This expansion is in line with Babson Academy’s commitment to nurturing a global mindset and promoting entrepreneurial skills among young learners across the globe.

A significant development in 2023 is the integration of the Youth Impact Lab into Babson Academy’s program offerings. Previously housed within Babson’s Institute for Social Innovation, the Youth Impact Lab is now part of Babson Academy, with the objective of guiding the next generation of entrepreneurial changemakers at the primary and secondary school levels.

As outlined in its latest Impact Report, Babson Academy has introduced entrepreneurship education to 50 countries in 2023, focusing on new areas in the MENA region, Asia, and Central and South America. This expansion has led to the strengthening of relationships with academic institutions in the MENA region, including the American University of the Middle East in Kuwait, American University of Afghanistan in Qatar, Prince Mohammad Bin Salman College in Saudi Arabia, The American University in Cairo, and The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik in Lebanon.

Amir Reza, dean of Babson Academy and dean of global education at Babson, emphasized the significance of innovative education and global connections in 2023. He stated, “Our commitment to nurturing a global mindset and cultivating entrepreneurial skills stands at the forefront of our mission. As we navigate the landscapes of education and entrepreneurship, we recognize the profound impact that transcending borders can have on individuals and societies alike.”

In addition to expanding its presence in the MENA region, Babson Academy has established new connections with countries such as Japan for a Global Symposium for Entrepreneurship Educators, and Chile for the 2023 Babson Collaborative Global Summit. These initiatives have brought together 50 educators from 15 countries to explore entrepreneurship education as part of Babson Academy’s thriving global community.

Furthermore, Babson Academy welcomed new member institutions to the Collaborative in 2023, including MCI The Entrepreneurial School in Austria, Link School of Business in Brazil, Superior University in Pakistan, Ulster University in Northern Ireland, INTEC Education College in Malaysia, and Bennett University in India. This expansion of the Collaborative network reflects Babson Academy’s continued efforts to strengthen its global presence and impact in the field of entrepreneurship education.

In conclusion, Babson Academy’s expansion into new regions of the MENA, Asia, and Central and South America in 2023 demonstrates its dedication to advancing entrepreneurial learning on a global scale. By forming partnerships with academic institutions and fostering a thriving global community of educators, Babson Academy is paving the way for the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders worldwide.
