The survey highlights that less than 30% of respondents believe their IT infrastructure is conducive to rapid adoption of generative AI. Additionally, non-IT factors such as regulatory risks, budgets, competitive environment, culture, and skills also hinder the extensive use of generative AI.

It is clear that while executives expect generative AI to cause disruption, their organizations may not be fully prepared to embrace and capitalize on the opportunities it presents. Companies need to address their IT and non-IT challenges to avoid being left vulnerable to disruption.
