A New Financial Service for NFU Scotland Members

The National Farmers’ Union of Scotland (NFU Scotland) has recently announced the launch of a dedicated finance service for its members. In collaboration with Anglo Scottish Asset Finance, NFU Scotland has introduced ‘NFU Scotland Finance’, a specialized division aimed at providing business finance solutions to farmers.

The newly-formed service will offer a range of financial products including tailored loans, commercial mortgages, asset finances, business credit cards, and refinancing opportunities to NFU Scotland members. The goal of this initiative is to support the financial needs of farmers and assist them in achieving sustainable and profitable businesses.

NFU Scotland chief executive, John Davidson, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing the shared philosophy of helping members to succeed in their agricultural ventures. Davidson also highlighted the positive impact that reliable financial services can have on the growth and innovation of agricultural businesses, ultimately contributing to a stable future for Scottish agriculture.

Heading the NFU Scotland Finance service is Andrew Laird, the head of agriculture and food finance at Anglo Scottish. Supported by a team of farming finance specialists, Laird and his team intend to engage directly with NFU Scotland members and participate in NFU Scotland events to explore new projects and commercial opportunities. Their primary focus is to provide tailored commercial finance and asset finance solutions to help members achieve their growth and diversification objectives.

With nearly two decades of experience, Anglo Scottish Asset Finance has a strong track record of supporting businesses with various financial solutions. Their expertise extends to funding agricultural machinery, vehicles, diversification projects, and green energy initiatives, all of which are crucial for the growth and sustainability of agricultural businesses.

This new venture by NFU Scotland and Anglo Scottish Asset Finance reflects a shared commitment to the welfare and advancement of farmers and crofters in Scotland. By providing specialized financial services, NFU Scotland Finance aims to empower its members with the tools they need to prosper in the agricultural sector. As the agricultural industry continues to evolve, the availability of tailored financial solutions will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of farming businesses across Scotland.
