One of these entrepreneurs is 10-year-old Sophia Hubbard, the proprietor of Tofu Tattoo, a temporary tattoo business she established after receiving compensation for aiding in the cleanup efforts following Hurricane Idalia in 2023. Driven by a passion for art and community service, Sophia now frequents birthday parties, parks, arcades, and entertainment centres, where she engages with children and families.
Despite her tender age, Sophia has generated an estimated $300 through providing temporary tattoos at various events, all of which have been used for charitable donations within her community. Her mother, Nicole Hubbard, is wholly supportive of her daughter’s endeavours, as are many others who admire Sophia’s ambition and community-mindedness.
Another remarkable young entrepreneur is 16-year-old Rylee Dixon, the creator and operator of Up Down Girl Skin Care Products. Despite the challenges that can accompany Down syndrome, Rylee has formulated a skincare range comprising 100% natural ingredients, tailored for sensitive skin, and has garnered recognition from both customers and peers.
Angelina Depasquale, a fifth grader, also distinguishes herself with her enterprise Ocala Knockerball, which involves participants entering large, inflatable bubbles to partake in an array of games and challenges.
