Recognizing Excellence: CEAT Honors Outstanding Faculty, Staff, and Students

The Oklahoma State University College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology held a prestigious event to honour the outstanding achievements of faculty, staff, and students during the 2024 Faculty, Staff and Student Awards Banquet, which took place on April 30.

The evening was a memorable occasion as the college recognized and celebrated the exceptional contributions made by individuals in various areas including teaching, research, performance, and service.

The recipients of the Faculty and Staff Awards received well-deserved recognition and applause, with special acknowledgement given to those who received the Excellent Teacher Award. Amongst the esteemed Junior Status Category awardees was Dr. Katie Jurewicz from the Industrial Engineering and Management department, alongside Senior Status Category recipient, Dr. Kurt Rouser from the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department.

In addition, the Outstanding Performance Award was bestowed upon dedicated staff members who have exceeded expectations, including Kristi Cooper from CEAT Online Learning, Matt Taylor from Industrial Engineering and Management, Brandy Mays from CEAT K-12 STEM, Michelle Dickey from CEAT IT, Anna Maitlen from CEAT Sponsored Programs, and Valerie Quirey from the CEAT Dean’s Office.

The exceptional leadership of Laura Southard from Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Kristi Wheeler from CEAT Marketing and Communications were also highlighted and recognised with the Dean’s Leadership Excellence Award.

Further recognition was given to the incredible collaborative efforts of Brandy Mays, Mary Tran, and Dr. Jovette Dew from the CEAT K-12 STEM Team, who were honoured with the Outstanding Team Achievement Award for their outstanding contributions.

Individuals who received the Outstanding Academic Advisor Award, Outstanding Administrative/Academic Staff Excellence Award, and the Years of Service Awards were also acknowledged for their unwavering commitment and dedication to the college.

The night also celebrated students who have excelled in their respective fields, including the top 10 graduating students who received the prestigious St. Patrick’s Awards. Madison Eulberg, Cassidy Wisneski, Robert Paddack, Trevor Huges, Kade Faith, Finn Poling, Ananya Singh, Kailey O’Connor, Kai Smith, and Meji Jayaseelan were applauded for their outstanding accomplishments in leadership, academics, and contributions to Oklahoma State University, CEAT, and the community.

Overall, the awards banquet was an opportunity to shine a light on the exceptional talent, hard work, dedication, and achievement within the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology. It was a night filled with pride, celebrations, and a deep sense of appreciation for the unwavering commitment and excellence of the honourees.
