The Centre for Exchange and Clearing in Belgium has selected SurePay to provide its Confirmation of Payee technology to the banking industry in the country. This decision follows a thorough open tender process, conducted in collaboration with the Federation of the Belgian Financial Sector. SurePay’s integration with Swift PreValidation for EU and global reach was instrumental in this decision.
Since 2016, SurePay has been a pioneer in Verification of Payee, conducting more than 1.5 billion checks annually, both domestically and internationally. After being spun off from Rabobank in 2022, the company now offers Verification of Payee to over 100 banks in the UK and the Netherlands.
“We are delighted to have been selected by Belgian banks to introduce Verification of Payee services,” says David-Jan Janse, CEO of SurePay. “Our existing multinational clients can now enhance their Verification of Payee capabilities, while Belgian banks can immediately access a network of 100 banks, enabling them to benefit from valuable additional services.”
This development marks a significant advancement for SurePay, as it expands its reach and cements its position as a leading provider of Confirmation of Payee technology in the European banking sector.
