Mr. Gulati underscored the growing demand for advanced features in vehicles, such as voice commands and remote control functionalities, reflecting consumer expectations for cars that are as sophisticated as their mobile devices. Moreover, he delved into the anticipated advancements in safety technologies, including the progression of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and the shift towards more digital touchpoints in customer interaction, with a preference for online vehicle purchasing and servicing processes.

In addressing the skill sets needed for after-sales and service networks, Mr. Gulati highlighted the importance of small, targeted courses on emerging technologies, partnerships with manufacturers, and comprehensive training programs to ensure the knowledge and skills of the workforce evolve alongside the industry.
