Get Moving: Support Philly LGBTQ Health Center in Style

As Philadelphia prepares to celebrate Pride Month, community members have found an exciting way to support the LGBTQ community while engaging in physical activity. This weekend, several gyms in the area are collaborating to raise funds for the Mazzoni Center, an organization dedicated to providing essential resources for LGBTQIA+ individuals in the region, including health care, gender-affirming care, mental health services, and access to food.

Dylan Van Duyne, a board member of the Mazzoni Center, conceived the idea of combining his passion for fitness with his commitment to supporting the LGBTQ community. According to Van Duyne, Pride Month holds special significance, and it represents an opportunity to break down barriers and create more opportunities for everyone.

The Philly Fitness Pride Kickoff, organized by Van Duyne and his colleagues, will take place at 11 local gyms this weekend. The event aims to raise funds for the Mazzoni Center and raise awareness about the importance of supporting LGBTQ health and wellness. The schedule for the fundraiser is detailed below.
