BTS Jin to Give 1,000 Hugs at BTS FESTA 2024: First Official Event After Military Discharge

Jin, a beloved member of the K-pop group BTS, is poised to make his inaugural official appearance following the completion of his military service. The highly anticipated discharge date of Jin is scheduled for 12th June 2024, and he will be participating in a special event at BTS FESTA 2024 the following day.

The announcement of Jin’s discharge and his forthcoming in-person appearance at BTS FESTA 2024 was disseminated by BIGHIT MUSIC via WEVERSE on 2nd June. This signifies Jin as the first BTS member to fulfill his military service obligation and also signifies the group’s first formal event since his enlistment.

BTS FESTA is an annual celebratory occasion held in commemoration of the anniversary of BTS’s debut, and this year it will be hosted at the Jamsil Arena in Seoul. The event is anticipated to hold particular significance as the K-pop boyband celebrates their 11th anniversary.

Jin’s involvement at BTS FESTA will encompass ‘Jin’s Greetings’ and ‘Message from Jin: June 13 2024’. During ‘Jin’s Greetings’, the BTS member will have the opportunity to personally greet and even offer “light embraces” or “a handshake” to 1,000 fans. Fans will need to participate in a raffle by purchasing any album released after (including solo albums) through the Weverse Shop to be eligible for this segment.

In addition to ‘Jin’s Greetings’, Jin will also have another segment titled ‘Message from Jin: June 13 2024’ where he will showcase various performances requested by ARMY. This segment will be streamed live through Weverse Live for fans with an ARMY Membership.

Apart from Jin’s participation, BTS FESTA 2024 will also include other activities for ARMYs such as dedicated photo zones and upcycling workshops. The event is slated to take place on 13th June from 11 am to 9 pm (KST).
Preceding BTS FESTA 2024, Jungkook, another member of BTS, is set to unveil a new song titled “Never Let Go” on 7th June. According to HYBE, this song is dedicated to BTS fans, ARMY, conveying a heartfelt message to stay connected.

Looking ahead, BTS member J-Hope is expected to complete his military service and be discharged sometime in October 2024.
