Renault has unveiled the highly anticipated Renault Scenic E-Tech for 2024, an all-new, all-electric addition to the classic Scenic range. Crowned as the 2024 European Car of the Year, this stylish zero-emissions family crossover has quickly become a significant player in the automotive industry.

With a competitive price tag of £37,495, the Renault Scenic E-Tech is available in two battery options, two power outputs, and three trim levels. Its sleek design and practical features position it as a formidable competitor to the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, Tesla Model Y, Nissan Ariya, Skoda Enyaq, and Peugeot E-3008.

The exterior of the Scenic E-Tech is a showstopper, boasting a bold front end featuring the latest Renault logo, LED headlights, and flush door handles. Furthermore, the car comes equipped with 19 or 20-inch alloy wheels, further enhancing its striking appearance.

The interior of the vehicle exudes a modern and sophisticated ambiance, with a 12.3-inch driver display and 12.0-inch centre infotainment touchscreen. The interior also offers generous storage space, a spacious boot, and an innovative rear central armrest with cup holders that double as smartphone or tablet holders, along with two USB-C ports.

Renault has placed a strong emphasis on sustainability, utilising 24% recycled materials in the Scenic E-Tech and ensuring that 90% of its mass, including the battery, is recyclable. Additionally, the car is equipped with a range of standard safety features such as adaptive cruise control, traffic and speed sign recognition, emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, and blind spot warning.

The Scenic E-Tech is available in two battery sizes and features front-wheel drive only. The standard range model comes with a 60kWh battery paired with a 168bhp electric motor, while the larger 87kWh battery and more powerful 217bhp electric motor offer an extended range of 379 miles. Both battery options provide rapid charging capabilities, with the larger battery reaching up to 150kW and the smaller battery up to 130kW.

During our assessment of the top-of-the-range Scenic E-Tech in Iconic trim, we found the driving experience to be comfortable and refined. The car provides a commanding view of the road, ample adjustment for the steering wheel and seat, and a smooth cruising experience. With instant torque, it delivers quick acceleration, making it well-suited for urban driving.

While the Scenic E-Tech excels in many areas, the brakes were found to have a spongy feel, requiring additional travel before engaging. However, the vehicle’s ‘Multi Sense’ driving modes offer personalized driving experiences, catering to individual preferences for steering weight, throttle response, and interior ambient lighting.

In conclusion, the all-new Renault Scenic E-Tech combines style, safety, and spaciousness, solidifying its position as a top contender in the family EV market. With its competitive pricing and impressive features, it undeniably ranks among the best family electric vehicles currently available.
