The highly anticipated EMPRETEC Forum was recently held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, under the esteemed patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi. This event, organized by the Social Development Bank (SDB), brought together distinguished individuals from around the world to discuss the role of the Kingdom in shaping global entrepreneurship.
During the forum, His Excellency, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, highlighted the paramount importance of empowering the private sector in Saudi Arabia. He emphasized the significant progress made in the number of small and emerging enterprises, which has doubled since the inception of the Saudi Vision 2030. The Minister also shared the remarkable achievements of the National Transformation Program, including economic reforms, improvements in global indicators, and substantial foreign direct investment.
The CEO of the SDB, Ibrahim Al-Rashed, expressed his gratitude for the collaboration with members of the Empretech program. He emphasized the bank’s pivotal role in supporting entrepreneurship and contributing to the goals of the 2030 Vision. Al-Rashed highlighted the establishment of key pillars, such as support for productive families and small enterprises, as well as the development of the bank’s branch system into a business incubator.
The forum featured insightful dialogue sessions focusing on innovation, technical and logistical services, and research skills in product development and financial management. These sessions aimed to strengthen the commitment to economic sustainability and foster a culture of innovation in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
Several partnerships were also announced during the forum, aimed at supporting entrepreneurship and creating opportunities in the logistics services sector. These partnerships included the development of educational resources and capacity-building programs for youth engagement in the sector.
The EMPRETEC Forum in Riyadh marked a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia’s journey towards fostering entrepreneurship.
