The exemplary service rendered by the 368th Financial Management Support Unit has garnered recognition, as evidenced by the expression of gratitude from the Co. C, Allied Forces North Battalion company commander and first sergeant during their recent visit to Poznan, Poland.
Sgt. 1st Class John Rutherford, U.S. national support element noncommissioned officer in charge at the NATO Joint Force Training Centre in Bydgoszcz, Poland, lauded the finance unit for their pivotal role in processing pay entitlements for soldiers on overseas assignments. He underscored the significance of their proficiency in identifying missing entitlements and ensuring the timely completion of documentation.
Rutherford emphasised the indispensable nature of their assistance during transitions for incoming service members and their families, whether for overseas or stateside deployments. He emphasised that the timely processing of entitlements within the initial 30 days is vital due to the substantial expenses incurred by newly arrived families.
In addition, Rutherford highlighted the significant amount of expenditure within the first 60 days in a new country and underscored the finance unit’s role in facilitating the seamless integration of families into their new environment and cultural context.
The voluntary dedication and prioritisation of soldiers’ financial needs by Capt. (Sheroquai) Hansen, as well as the endeavours of Staff Sgt. (Brandon) Harris and the team in addressing a backlog of over 40 financial actions, were particularly commended for their exceptional support.
In summary, the unwavering commitment and support provided by the 368th Financial Management Support Unit have produced a positive and meaningful impact on the well-being and readiness of the soldiers and their families. Their efforts have not only facilitated the smooth transition of service members, but have also allowed them to focus on their missions with peace of mind.
