Subject: Acknowledgments and Frustrations
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to address a rather disheartening issue that I recently encountered. It is with dismay that I received a casual greeting of “Hi both” in an email. I believe it is not unreasonable to expect the simple courtesy of addressing individuals by their full names.
On a more positive note, I wish to extend my sincere gratitude to the patrons and staff at the Redmond Fred Meyer. Their prompt response and assistance following a fall I experienced at the store was truly commendable. Not only did they assist me to get back on my feet, but they also provided me with a place to rest, offered water, and even helped to clean the blood from my head. Their kind offer to call for medical assistance, although declined by myself, was incredibly thoughtful. Unfortunately, amidst the commotion, I regrettably neglected to obtain their names. Nevertheless, I am genuinely appreciative of their aid, empathy, and concern.
Regrettably, I must also express my frustration with an incident involving a city street sweeper who displayed aggressive behaviour towards both myself and the dog I was walking as part of my volunteer work at an animal shelter. His unnecessary hostility made me feel as if I was reenacting a scene from the movie “Duel.”
Despite these challenges, I find solace in the uplifting acts of kindness and concern displayed by fellow members of our community. Such gestures serve as a reminder of the innate goodness within people and provide hope for a more compassionate future. Let us endeavour to continue to be sources of support and empathy for one another.
I trust that this message will receive due consideration and prompt attention.
Yours sincerely,
[Your Name]
