Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Groundbreaking Haoran TechFin Forum and MTT Graduation Ceremony

On the 29th of June 2024, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, in collaboration with Bank of China, hosted the inaugural Haoran TechFin Forum at the prestigious Haoran High-Tech Building of the Xuhui Campus. The event was organized by the Antai College of Economics and Management of SJTU and SJTU-BOC Institute of Technology and Finance. Notable personalities from academia and industry graced the occasion, including Ding Kuiling, President of SJTU and Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ling Wen, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Shandong Association for Science and Technology, and Thomas Sargent, Nobel Laureate in Economics and Professor of New York University. The forum received overwhelming support from leaders in various fields, marking a significant milestone in the TechFin ecosystem of SJTU-BOC Institute of Technology and Finance.

In 2021, Antai College of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University was designated as the first national technology transfer professional master’s degree conferral. Since then, the college has made remarkable progress in establishing the SJTU-BOC Institute of Technology and Finance, leveraging the university’s specialized disciplines and harnessing top industry resources. The Technology Transfer Master’s (MTT) project has implemented a comprehensive training system, enrolling over 350 students with an average age of 36 and 13 years of working experience, with more than 75% of them coming from strategic emerging industries.

The graduation ceremony of the inaugural cohort of the Technology Transfer Master’s MTT project of Shanghai Jiao Tong University was a momentous occasion. Distinguished leaders and educators from various sectors came together to celebrate the emergence of pioneering technology transfer professionals who are poised to drive China’s scientific and technological innovation endeavors. This accomplished group has successfully translated and implemented numerous pragmatic and innovative scientific achievements, contributing significantly to the country’s strategic objectives and aligning closely with the development of Shanghai International Science and Technology Innovation Center and International Financial Center.
