Türkiye’s Auto Sector Dominates Global Exports, Raking in $17.7 Billion in First Half of 2024

The automotive industry in Turkey has once again demonstrated its global dominance by achieving a remarkable $17.7 billion in exports during the first half of 2024. Data collected from the Uludag Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association and the Turkey Exporters Assembly has revealed the sector’s outstanding performance, indicating a 2.27% increase in exports compared to the same period last year.

Notably, European countries emerged as the primary recipients of automotive exports from Turkey, with Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Spain leading the pack. Collectively, these five European nations accounted for 52.78% of the sector’s total exports, highlighting its strong presence in the European market.

Significantly, Turkey’s automotive sector witnessed a substantial increase in exports to various countries within the top 10 list, including Poland, Slovenia, Belgium, the United States, and Romania. Moreover, there was a notable surge in exports to Saudi Arabia and Australia, with both countries experiencing a significant spike in automotive imports from Turkey.
