Chinenye Ejim-Ofor, an entrepreneur located in Canada, has been chosen as one of the 24 Finalists for the esteemed Diamonds Do Good® Entrepreneurship Grant. This grant, renowned for its backing of exceptional entrepreneurs, offers financial support ranging from $5,000 to $20,000, with the goal of empowering the awardees to grow their businesses and have a positive impact on society.
Based in Ontario, Chinenye Ejim-Ofor is the founder of At Der Glantz Events, a hospitality company specializing in crafting unique event experiences with an authentic African flair. She caters to African clients seeking personalized planning and the right African elements for their events, aiming to provide a “home away from home” experience for her clientele.
The 24 Finalists for the Diamonds Do Good® Entrepreneurship Grant come from 8 different countries, including Botswana, India, Lesotho, Namibia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, and Tanzania. Each of the Finalists has shown exceptional resilience, determination, and dedication, representing diverse industries such as agriculture, education, electronics, energy, and more.
In a ‘Shark Tank’ style presentation to an experienced panel and live audience, the Finalists revealed their innovative ideas, businesses, and unique selling points, demonstrating their potential to make a lasting impact in the market and provide value to their communities. The winners will be announced in a grand ceremony on 17th July 2024, where 10 exceptional entrepreneurs will be awarded the prestigious Diamonds Do Good® Entrepreneurship Grant.
The Diamonds Do Good® initiative was established to highlight the positive impact of diamonds in Southern Africa and beyond, with the primary objective of fostering transformative change within natural diamond communities globally. This year’s selection of Finalists embodies the spirit of innovation, entrepreneurship, and the power of creative ideas to drive positive change.
