Shell Egypt is pleased to announce the relaunch of its Intilaaqah Egypt Programme in collaboration with Flat6Labs Egypt, with the aim of supporting more than 1,000 aspiring entrepreneurs in the country. This initiative aligns with the global Shell LiveWIRE programme, which is dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship and addressing global challenges.

The reintroduction of the programme aims to build on the successes of its predecessor, which has supported over 10,000 young individuals and facilitated the establishment of approximately 200 startups since its inception nearly two decades ago.

Dalia Elgabry, Vice President and Country Chair of Shell Egypt, stated, “As a responsible investor, Shell Egypt is committed to supporting our communities through impactful social investment programs. We take pride in supporting the community through pioneering capacity-building initiatives such as Shell Intilaaqah. In collaboration with Flat6Labs, we aim to create significant opportunities for early-stage entrepreneurs.”

The programme will provide entrepreneurs with various forms of support, including matchmaking, ideation sessions, bootcamps, and incubation. A maximum of 240 teams or ideas will be selected for the Bright Ideas Bootcamp Training, with the top 40 advancing to the Intilaaqah Incubation cycle, which extends over three months.

Hany Al-Sonbaty, Co-Founder and Chairperson of Flat6Labs, commented, “Flat6Labs is excited to partner with Shell Egypt for this important initiative. We believe that this collaboration will create a strong platform for early-stage entrepreneurs to thrive.”

Flat6Labs will be responsible for the implementation of the programme, assisting participants in developing their business plans and raising awareness of entrepreneurial opportunities. Selected entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to attend workshops led by industry professionals and gain access to established startup methodologies.

The initiative is in line with Egypt’s 2030 Strategy and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Shell Egypt collaborates with various partners, including the Ministry of Petroleum, Egyptian universities, The National Training Academy, and the World Food Programme, to carry out its social investment programs.
