Shapero Modern has launched its new gallery in London with “The Modern Muse” exhibition, showcasing works by iconic artists such as Banksy, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, and David Hockney. Notable pieces include Banksy’s screenprint of supermodel Kate Moss fused with Marilyn Monroe’s features, as well as Warhol’s vibrant portraits of female icons including Monroe and Queen Elizabeth II. The exhibition also features Picasso’s “Portrait de Femme II” of Jacqueline Roque and Hockney’s “Celia With Green Hat” portrait of textile designer Celia Birtwell. The gallery is located at 94 New Bond Street, enhancing its presence on this prestigious shopping street. Tabitha Philpott-Kent, the gallery director, expressed excitement about the new flagship store.

Shapero Modern, established in 2014, focuses on post-war and contemporary prints and works on paper. The current exhibition, “The Modern Muse,” aims to explore the relationships between artists and their muses, showcasing pieces that depict influential women in art history.
