Hey there, plant lovers! Guess what? Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) recently organized not one, not two, but three Entrepreneurship Awareness Programs (EAP) on vegetable nursery raising techniques in the beautiful district of Ganderbal. Can you believe it?

Around 50 enthusiastic participants had the amazing opportunity to learn all about ‘Vegetable Nursery Raising Techniques’ at these programs. The events were organized by the Division of Vegetable Sciences, Faculty of Horticulture at SKUAST-K, in collaboration with the MSME training of the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The programs took place in the charming villages of Dabb and Repore-A in Ganderbal.

Dr. Ummyiah H Masoodi, the Assistant Professor at the Division of Vegetable Science, SKUAST-K, did a fantastic job coordinating these programs. The main aim of these programs was to create awareness among the participants about the exciting world of entrepreneurship in vegetable nursery raising. The organizers hoped to inspire the participants to consider this venture for its great economic benefits.

During the programs, the participants were treated to enlightening lectures by experts from the Division of Vegetable Science. Dr. Gazala Nazir and Dr. Syed Berjes Zehra shared their knowledge on various methods of nursery raising in vegetables. They also shed light on the different ways participants could increase their income through the sale of vegetable seedlings. And hey, they even discussed some cool marketing strategies to help the participants reach a wider audience.

By the end of these three programs, Dr. Ummyiah H Masoodi expressed her gratitude to the participants for their enthusiastic participation. She was thrilled to see their interest and passion for the subject. Let’s not forget to give a shoutout to Dr. Haroon Naik, the Nodal Officer of MSME trainings at SKUAST-Kashmir, and Dr. Baseerat Afroza, the Head of the Division of Vegetable Science, for their active involvement in making these programs a success.

So, if you’ve got a green thumb and a passion for plants, keep an eye out for more exciting programs like these. Who knows, you might just discover your hidden talent for vegetable nursery raising and embark on a fruitful entrepreneurial journey. Happy planting!
