The Department of Trade and Industry-Cavite, in collaboration with the local government of Silang and Acienda Designer Outlet, recently launched the awesome ‘CAVITIENDA: Cavite’s Finest Products’ Trade Fair. This event, which took place from October 27 to 29, 2023, was all about supporting and promoting the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Cavite. It was a fantastic showcase of local entrepreneurship and a boost to the province’s economy.
The Cavitienda Trade Fair was a result of the combined efforts of various organizations and individuals who are passionate about driving economic growth and innovation in Cavite. The fair brought together 20 incredible MSMEs, giving them a platform to display their unique products and services while contributing to the local economy.
The event kicked off with an exciting ceremony attended by esteemed guests, including department heads from the provincial government of Cavite, representatives from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and local officials from the municipal government of Silang.
Chie Ricasata, the Brand Communications Manager of Acienda Designer Outlet, set the tone for the event with her warm and welcoming remarks. She expressed her excitement about the trade fair and emphasized the importance of supporting local businesses.
Next, Dir. Revelyn Cortez, OIC Assistant Regional Director of DTI CALABARZON, delivered an inspiring opening message, highlighting the significance of the CAVITIENDA Trade Fair in boosting the local economy and providing growth opportunities for the participating MSMEs.
Arman Ilano, the Center Director of Acienda Designer Outlet, and Silang Municipal Mayor Kevin Anarna also shared inspirational messages, emphasizing the power of collaboration between the public and private sectors for the prosperity of the community.
The trade fair officially commenced with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the unity and support of the local community for the thriving MSMEs in Cavite.
Over the course of three exciting days, visitors had the chance to explore a wide range of items, from unique handmade crafts to delicious treats, trendy clothing to stylish accessories, and so much more. It was the perfect opportunity to find that one-of-a-kind item and show support for local entrepreneurs.
