Entrepreneurs Urged to Embrace International Trade to Boost Business

Business owners who are worried about weaker demand in their home markets are being encouraged to explore opportunities in international trade. The Department for Business and Trade has selected 388 ‘Export Champions’ who can provide advice and share their experiences of growing businesses overseas. One of these champions is Adam Sopher, the co-founder and managing director of Joe & Seph’s, a luxury popcorn brand. Sopher believes that government support for exporting is a valuable initiative. Another champion, Tajinder Banwait, the founder of Urban Apothecary and Palette London, agrees that there is a significant opportunity for trade internationally. While the UK market may be tough, the global market offers great potential.
