Ambassador Cromer’s Inspiring Meet-Up with Gambian Women Entrepreneurs

Hey, guess what? Ambassador Cromer had a super cool meeting with a bunch of awesome women entrepreneurs at Startup Incubator Gambia. This place was set up in 2014 with a grant from our Public Diplomacy. The Ambassador got to hang out with a bunch of young women entrepreneurs who are into all sorts of stuff like food processing, engineering, fashion design, filming, and art. The whole point of the Ambassador’s visit was to show some love for women in business and to talk about how important it is to support and cheer on women entrepreneurs.

During the chat, the entrepreneurs shared their stories about how doing their own thing has totally changed their lives for the better. They also talked about the tough parts of being in business, especially as women. They mentioned how hard it is to get money and resources to grow their businesses. They also chatted about different programs and ideas that can help out women-led startups.

The Ambassador was totally stoked about the amazing things these women entrepreneurs have achieved and how much they’ve boosted society and the economy. She made it clear that the United States is totally committed to helping women and girls in The Gambia. How awesome is that?
