The Inspiring Talk That’s Shaking Up Entrepreneurship

Hey guys, check out this awesome talk by Anthony Magaraci, the big boss at Trinity Packaging. He went back to his old uni to chat with students about the highs and lows of starting a new business. It was all part of the Spotlight Speaker Series hosted by the Rowan Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

So, Trinity Packaging is all about making life easier for wholesalers. They’ve got this cool website that gives you the lowdown on the cheapest and closest packaging supplies like tape, boxes, and envelopes, and you can even buy them right there. Anthony started this gig back in 2010 and now he’s working with over 400 suppliers. That’s pretty impressive, right?

Before he kicked off his own thing, he was grinding at a packaging supply company in North Philly. He learned the ropes of the industry there and then used that knowledge to create an opportunity with drop shipping. That’s when the manufacturers send the product straight to the customer, no middleman involved.

Now, here’s the real talk from Anthony. He said the toughest part of being an entrepreneur is just taking that first step. It’s like jumping into the unknown, leaving behind that steady paycheck and not knowing what’s coming next. That’s where most people get stuck, and I totally get it.

In the early days, he was hustling hard, making cold calls, facing rejection, and dealing with failures. But he didn’t give up. He focused on three things: concentration, consistency, and cooperation. And guess what? Those principles helped him build something solid and successful.

He also shared how being part of the entrepreneurship program at Rowan totally changed his mindset. It’s not like the usual classroom stuff where you just soak up info and regurgitate it. It’s more about creating your own path, and that’s what got him fired up.

The crowd at the event was buzzing with students eager to soak up Anthony’s wisdom. Lucas Jimenez, a sophomore majoring in entrepreneurship, was all about it. He said he learned a ton about starting and running a business, and it gave him a boost of confidence. Danielle McManus was there too, and she found comfort in knowing that success doesn’t happen overnight. It’s all about taking your time and doing things at your own pace.
