Revolutionizing Motorsports with Hydrogen Refuelling

Hey folks, check this out! PRF Gas Solutions has just launched a super cool hydrogen refuelling station specifically designed for the motorsports industry. They’re calling it DRHYVE, and it’s a portable station that can handle both 500 and 1,000 bar compression and storage. The best part? It doesn’t need any civil works, and you can set it up and get it running in just 24 hours. How awesome is that?

This bad boy fits into a 40ft space and can be supplied by tube trailers up to 500 barG or a direct electrolyser connection. It’s all set to serve vehicles with H35 and H70 dispensing. Paulo Ferreira, the CEO of PRF Gas Solutions, said, “We are proud to introduce this game-changing solution to the motorsports industry, offering a greener and more efficient alternative to fuelling.”

And that’s not all! Bruno Faustino, the Director of the Hydrogen Business Unit at PRF, added, “DRHYVE embodies our dedication to delivery cutting-edge technology for the hydrogen sector. Its mobility, rapid setup and wide range of features make it a versatile solution for diverse applications, including the demanding motorsports arena.”

PRF had previously launched a portable hydrogen refuelling station for buses and light transport in 2021. Now, they’re taking it up a notch with this motorsports-specific station. Although they haven’t revealed where these stations will be used, it’s interesting to note that this unveiling comes right after the announcement of the “first” hydrogen off-road racing world championship – Extreme H, by FIA and Extreme E.

In an interview with H2 View, Alejandro Agag, the CEO of Extreme E, mentioned that the introduction of Extreme H can demonstrate the viability of hydrogen technology for the future, and even for racing. How cool is that?

So, there you have it! PRF Gas Solutions is making waves in the motorsports industry with their innovative hydrogen refuelling solution. It’s exciting to see how this technology is shaping the future of racing and transportation. Stay tuned for more updates on the latest developments in the hydrogen industry!
