So, there’s been some drama in Japan’s government. This dude, Kenji Kanda, who’s a big shot in the finance department, just quit his job. Why? Well, turns out his company didn’t pay its taxes. Yeah, you heard that right. The guy in charge of government bonds and money stuff couldn’t even handle his own taxes. And get this, his company’s land and buildings got taken away by the authorities four times because they didn’t pay their fixed asset taxes. That’s some serious trouble, right?
Anyway, Kanda owned up to it in front of the big shots in the Diet last week. He spilled the beans about his company’s tax trouble. And guess what? The Prime Minister’s administration took another hit because of this. It’s like one thing after another for them. Kanda is from the ruling Liberal Democratic Party, and he’s not the only one bailing out. Two other officials left their posts recently. The state minister of justice and the parliamentary vice minister of education and culture also called it quits. Looks like Kishida’s cabinet is having a rough time, huh?
