The Global Entrepreneurship Week 2023 has officially started at the Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA). This weeklong event began with an exciting workshop called “Boosting Entrepreneurship in University Education,” featuring trainers from the University of Turku, Finland. Dr Lalarukh Ejaz, the Director of CED, gave a warm welcome to the audience, which included faculty members from both international and national backgrounds.
In her opening speech, she made it clear that GEW is not just an event; it’s a celebration of innovation, collaboration, and the limitless potential within every aspiring entrepreneur. The workshop was attended by Dr Sanna Ilonen, who teaches Entrepreneurship, Joachim Ramström, a Senior Lecturer in Marketing, and Ari Koski, an Account Manager, all from the University of Turku. They provided an interesting exploration of creative ways to incorporate entrepreneurship into university education, promoting a culture of innovation and collaboration among students.
Throughout the event, participants from IBA’s faculty, Punjab University, IoBM, NED, Karachi University, and others will take part in activities aimed at empowering and inspiring. The workshop will delve into inventive methods of integrating entrepreneurship into university education, with the goal of nurturing a mindset of creativity and enterprise among students. The schedule includes a variety of events such as the Iventure startup showcasing on Nov 13-14, panel discussions on Nov 15, and the Invent: IBA CED Startup Pitch Competition on Nov 16.
