Have You Heard About The New Project MEDIET4ALL? It’S All About Promoting A Healthy Mediterranean Lifestyle And Making Some Positive Changes To Our Eating Habits. The Project Is Led By Dr. Achraf Ammar From Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, And It Involves Ten Partners From Eight Countries, Especially Countries From The Mediterranean Region. They’Ve Got A Budget Of EUR 2.4 Million To Make This Happen. The Goal Is To Shift Away From Ultra-Processed Foods And Focus On A More Natural And Healthy Mediterranean Diet.
The Mediterranean Diet Is All About Using Typical Mediterranean Foods Like Fruits, Vegetables, Whole Grains, Olive Oil, And Fish. It’S A Diet That’S Not Only Good For Our Health But Also For The Environment. The Project Aims To Understand The Behavior Of Euro-Mediterranean Consumers And Design Programs To Support A Healthy Mediterranean Lifestyle, Including Dietary Recommendations, Physical Activities, And Social Inclusion.
What’S Interesting Is That The Project Involves Partners From Both The EU And North Africa, Showing A Collaborative Effort To Promote The Mediterranean Diet. They’Re Planning To Create A Movement To Support The Transition Towards Healthy Minimally Processed Food. This Includes Activities Like Cooking Classes, Digital Toolkits, Awareness Campaigns, And Developing A MEDIET4ALL App That Will Act As An Intelligent Lifestyle Coach.
The Project Also Focuses On The Environmental Benefits Of The Mediterranean Diet, Such As Saving Water And Energy, Reducing Greenhouse Gases, And Preserving Soils. It’S Part Of The EU’S Farm To Fork Strategy, Which Aims To Become Climate Neutral By 2050.
Overall, The MEDIET4ALL Project Is A Transnational Movement Supported By The PRIMA European Program. It’S All About Making Positive Changes To Our Eating Habits And Promoting A Healthier And Eco-Friendly Agri-Food System. The Project Brings Together Partners From The European University Alliance FORTHEM To Collaborate In This Important Research. With Funding From The German Federal Ministry Of Education And Research, This Project Is Set To Make A Real Impact.
