Bahrain’s Labour Fund, Tamkeen, Has Kicked Off The Annual Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) To Promote Entrepreneurship In Bahrain. The Event, Which Is An Initiative Of The Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), Is Taking Place From November 14 To 21.
This Year, There Are Over 30 Events Lined Up, Focusing On Key Economic Sectors. These Events Include Specialized Workshops, Panel Discussions, And A Wide Range Of Dialogues With Experts And Specialists From Various Sectors. Additionally, There Will Be Exclusive Fashion Shows Organized By A Group Of Bahraini Creatives In Cooperation With Partners And Supporters Of The Entrepreneurship Ecosystem.
The GEW Initiative Aims To Bring Together Entrepreneurs, Investors, Decision-Makers, And Other Stakeholders To Exchange Experiences And Contribute To Enriching The Entrepreneurial Culture. The Goal Is To Achieve The Success And Sustainability Of Business Projects That Support Economic Development.
Esam Hammad, The Executive Director Of Marketing And Customer Experience At Tamkeen, And The Managing Director Of GEN Bahrain, Emphasized The Importance Of Organizing The Global Entrepreneurship Week Events. He Said, “Tamkeen Is Committed To Organizing Global Entrepreneurship Week Activities Annually To Elevate The Role Of All Stakeholders In The Kingdom’S Distinctive Entrepreneurship Ecosystem. Through GEW, We Aim To Showcase Their Efforts That Directly Contribute To Empowering Bahraini Youth With Entrepreneurial And Innovative Ideas, Encouraging Them To Launch Pioneering Projects And Create Quality Job Opportunities. This Will Contribute To The Prosperity Of The National Economy And Reinforce The Kingdom’S Position As A Promising Regional Hub.”
Over The Past Year, Tamkeen Has Supported More Than 4,000 Private Sector Enterprises Through Various Programs And Initiatives. Startups Accounted For 57% Of The Number Of Enterprises Supported Last Year, While SMEs Accounted For About 48%.
