Are you tired of dealing with stubborn back fat? Well, you’re in luck because I’ve got two super easy exercises that can help you get rid of it. And the best part? You can do these exercises from the comfort of your own home, making them perfect for the gloomy autumnal weather. With the days getting shorter and the supermarket aisles filled with festive treats, it can be tough to start a weight loss journey during this time of year. But fear not, because fitness expert Petra Genco has shared two simple exercises that specifically target back fat.
In a recent TikTok video, Petra Genco demonstrated these two physical movements that can be done from the comfort of your home or anywhere else. So, no need to leave the house when the weather is gloomy or when it’s pitch-black outside. All you need is a resistance band and your body. Genco mentioned that she got her resistance band from her local Lidl, so you don’t have to spend a fortune on equipment.
The first exercise Petra Genco showed in her video is called ‘Pull Aparts.’ It’s pretty straightforward – you stand up straight with your legs apart, hold a resistance band in both hands, raise both arms in front of you, and open them out while pulling the resistance band. Then, return your arms to the starting position and do 3 sets of 15 repetitions.
The second exercise, ‘Decline Chest Presses,’ involves putting the resistance band underneath your feet and holding it tight with both hands. You then tilt your upper body slightly towards the ground and pull the resistance band upwards with both hands, keeping your arms next to your body. Again, do 3 sets of 15 repetitions.
While Petra Genco swears by these exercises for losing back fat, another fitness expert, Female Fitness Coach Tina, pointed out that spot reducing fat in any specific area of your body is not a thing. Instead, creating a calorie deficit by burning more calories than you consume is the key. This can be achieved by moving more, eating less, or a combination of both. So, if you’re looking to bid farewell to back fat, these exercises might just be the answer you’ve been searching for!
