Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and two lucky turkeys are getting ready for their big day at the White House. Liberty and Bell, the Thanksgiving turkeys, are all set for their presidential pardons, and they’re not holding back on the celebrations. The pair of gobblers have been living it up in a hotel suite near the White House, and they’re making the most of their time in the spotlight.
The National Turkey Federation’s chairman, Steve Lykken, and the president of the Jennie-O Turkey Store, introduced Liberty and Bell at a fancy event in a luxury hotel close to the White House. The turkeys made a grand entrance, arriving in style in a black Cadillac Escalade after a long road trip from Minnesota. They’ve been enjoying the VIP treatment, checking into a suite and strutting their stuff on the red carpet.
It’s all part of the annual tradition where the President spares turkeys from ending up on someone’s dinner table. Liberty and Bell are certainly making the most of their time in the spotlight, and they’re gearing up for their big moment at the White House. It’s a Thanksgiving tale fit for the movies, and these turkeys are living the high life before their big pardon.
