AWS is committed to partnering with DXC to transition its service delivery into a cloud-centric model, with plans to train over 15,000 professionals on AWS.
As part of the extended partnership, DXC and AWS will focus on three key strategic elements to benefit customers:
1. Accelerated Cloud Migration and Modernization: The collaboration aims to scale migration methodologies and solution accelerators, supporting large-scale cloud migrations and subsequent modernization efforts.
2. Workforce Transformation: Both companies will invest in training and certifying 15,000 DXC professionals over the next five years, enhancing the talent pool for cloud skills and reinforcing DXC’s leadership in cloud migration and management.
3. Asset Transformation: The partnership will facilitate the transition from aging data center facilities to agile, secure, and sustainable cloud technology provided by AWS, driving down operating costs for DXC and its customers. DXC also plans to divest some of its existing data centers.
The strategic transformation agreement has garnered positive responses from DXC and AWS customers and stakeholders, who recognize the potential for enhanced reliability, security, and scalability in their IT systems.
