Sage Automotive Interiors, a renowned manufacturer of automotive interior materials, has announced a substantial investment of $10.45 million for the expansion of its Sharon Plant located in Abbeville County. This expansion is expected to create 95 new employment opportunities within the region. The decision to expand has been well received by the state authorities, as highlighted in a recent news release from the office of Gov. Henry McMaster.

In support of this significant investment, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development has endorsed job development credits related to the project. Additionally, the council has awarded a £100,000 Rural Infrastructure Fund grant to Abbeville County, aimed at assisting with the expenses associated with building improvements.
