Empowering Female Entrepreneurs: Ba&sh’s Power Blazer Initiative

Ba&sh, the renowned Paris-based fashion label, has officially announced the selection of four exceptional female entrepreneurs for its esteemed Power Blazer initiative. The initiative, with the noble purpose of empowering women on a global scale, is dedicated to supporting female founders, entrepreneurs, and activists by contributing a set amount to recognize their invaluable contributions. This groundbreaking campaign is set to run until February 2024.

Pierre-Arnaud Grenade, the esteemed CEO of Ba&sh, eloquently expressed the brand’s unwavering commitment to championing women in the business realm. He underscored the significance of the blazer, often donned by female entrepreneurs during professional presentations, citing its pivotal role as a timeless wardrobe essential in the corporate sphere. With great conviction, Grenade reiterated, “Supporting women in business is the very essence of our success — our board and our organization boast female representation of 75 percent and 85 percent, respectively.”

The distinguished female entrepreneurs selected for this initiative have made noteworthy strides in their respective fields. Delphine Groll from France, a co-founder of the health tech company Nabla, seeks to streamline the time healthcare professionals spend on nonmedical tasks, thereby enabling them to allocate more resources to patient care. Julia Neel Biz, also hailing from France, co-founded Teale, a comprehensive mental health platform catering to employees. Verena Pausder of Germany established the Digital Bildung für Alle association, which is dedicated to integrating underprivileged young individuals through digital education. In addition, she is actively involved in managing the Berlin women’s football club, FC Victoria. Amanda Nguyen, representing the U.S., is renowned for her organization, Rise, which provides support for individuals impacted by sexual assault. Nguyen has made a notable impact by championing the passing of 80 laws to aid survivors of sexual assault and by founding the Stop Asian Hate movement.

Sharon Krief, the esteemed co-founder of Ba&sh, shed light on the arduous challenges faced by female entrepreneurs, underscoring the dire statistic that only 2 percent of annual investments are directed towards female-led businesses. She emphasized the brand’s unwavering dedication to setting a benchmark and instilling confidence in these companies. Barbara Boccara, another esteemed co-founder of Ba&sh, eloquently elucidated the brand’s ethos of female solidarity, stating, “Ba&sh is a brand conceived for and by women.”

Ba&sh’s decision to allocate funds from the sale of its iconic blazer is emblematic of its resolute commitment to supporting women. The coveted blazer, available at a price point of 325 euros or 355 dollars, can be purchased at Ba&sh’s 320 stores worldwide, which encompass department stores, affiliates, and the online platform.
