Prodigi Technology Services, situated in Invercargill, has recently completed the acquisition of Conex, a fellow IT provider, marking a significant milestone in the convergence of the two businesses. The acquisition, which has been in development over an extended period, commenced with an initial connection on the widely recognized Geekzone forums between the proprietors of both entities, namely Chris Muller of Conex and Dan Faulknor of Prodigi.
This collaboration follows years of interaction and familiarity, with both parties having been active members of the New Zealand IT community since as far back as 2003. Muller and his wife, Claire, have dedicated 17 years to the management of Conex and have now opted to transition the business to Prodigi, in line with what they believe to be in the best interest of Conex and their esteemed clientele.
In a communiqué addressed to their customers, Chris Muller expressed his confidence in the decision, affirming, “Prodigi shares our enthusiasm for technology and customer service. We are certain that under Prodigi’s leadership, the quality of service and customer care you have come to expect from Conex will only be enhanced.” Muller will be assuming a role within Prodigi’s engineering team and will continue to extend support to Conex clients, ensuring continuity and consistency during this transition.
Similarly, Dan Faulknor of Prodigi underscored the favourable impact of the acquisition on both entities, highlighting, “This acquisition represents a convergence of shared visions and values in the provision of high-quality IT solutions. Clients of Conex can anticipate improved response times and a broader spectrum of services. Furthermore, clients of Prodigi will now have access to the exemplary helpdesk services offered by Conex.”
In assuring Conex’s existing customer base, Muller added, “In my new capacity at Prodigi, I will ensure that you continue to receive the same personalized service, now bolstered by a larger team for a more comprehensive IT support experience. I am deeply appreciative of your trust and support over the years. As I join Prodigi, I am eager to continue serving you with the same level of dedication and to provide the enhanced capabilities of our combined team.”
Addressing the transition, Faulknor expounded, “We are confronting the challenge of a seamless service transition with great enthusiasm, buoyed by the growth and enhancements in customer service that this merger heralds. Bringing Conex into the Prodigi family transcends mere business; it is about uniting our mutual passion for technology and our commitment to our clients. It represents an exciting advancement, affording us the opportunity to offer a wider array of IT services and elevate our standard for everyone in New Zealand.”
Undoubtedly, this noteworthy acquisition has set the stage for an exciting chapter in the journey of both companies. Together, they are well-positioned to deliver even greater value and enhanced services to their clientele, and to make a significant impact on the IT solutions landscape in New Zealand.
