Key recommendations emerging from the meeting underlined a greater emphasis on skill development and entrepreneurship initiatives. The convenor of the sub-committee underscored the significance of active participation by oil and gas companies in fostering self-sustainability within the local economy, to the benefit of both citizens and the country as a whole.
In addition to the participating companies, senior officials from the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) provided further insights into the social obligations of these oil and gas companies. Discussions revolved around operational aspects, company ownership, collective industry challenges, and the establishment of joint accounts in districts.
The meeting ultimately concluded with an endorsement of the convenor’s recommendations, underscoring a renewed focus on skill development initiatives as a means to promote economic growth and self-reliance.
